How Acupuncture Got Dr. Marcuzzo Back on the Fairway

Golfer's swingBefore he became a chiropractor, Dr. Marcuzzo was the head golf pro at a country club in Palm Springs. One day, he injured his back. He did everything he could, including chiropractic, to get relief but was stuck in pain.

“The only way I could get out of bed was to go to the doctor, and nothing was helping.” Someone recommended that Dr. Marcuzzo see a Chinese acupuncturist. After just two acupuncture sessions, our chiropractor was out playing golf within two days.

Many Golfers Are Our Patients

In addition to earning his Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Marcuzzo did postgraduate studies in Chinese acupuncture with Dr. Richard Yennie, who introduced acupuncture to the United States. Dr. Marcuzzo wanted to be able to help others as he was helped.

“When I first opened my practice in Omaha in 1997, I had just gotten out of the golf profession. There were many competitive golfers in the city who I grew up with. It was natural for them to migrate to my office. I still have many of them under our care.”
